According to www.osha.gov, “The OSHA Outreach Training Program for General Industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in general industry. The 10-hour class is intended to provide workers with awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation’s productivity.”
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 General Industry Training is offered on the SVHEC’s campus in downtown South Boston,VA, or may be conducted at an employer’s location. Individuals who successfully complete this training will receive a course completion card.
