Virginia GED Services

Earning your GED at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center (SVHEC) opens the door to the educational and professional opportunities available to you in southern Virginia. Free Adult Basic Education and GED® Preparation courses are offered by Southside Virginia Community College, and the program is open to anyone 18 and older. Students participating in the program receive assistance in gaining the necessary knowledge needed to obtain their GED® as well as career readiness training. For students enrolled in the program, there is no cost for GED® testing, which is conducted onsite at the SVHEC Assessment Center.
